Jedforest
Swimming
Club |
 |
|
Jedburgh now has a brand
new swimming club that meets every
Tuesday evening at the Laidlaw Memorial
Pool.
 |
The goal of the
Club, through hard work and
determination, is for the
children to compete in various
Swimming Galas against other
border towns and to have
fun whilst staying fit. |
| |
|
|
The Head Coach is
Jonathon Noble.
Jon-e has worked
at the pool for over 13 years
and is known by most of the
children through swimming
lessons. |
 |
| |
|
|
The club is run
by an enthusiastic group of
parent volunteers who make up
the committee and have already
held various fundraising events. The swimming
club have been awarded a £5000
grant from Awards for All. This
money will be used to buy
equipment and help with funding.
Any child
interested in joining the club
should come along on a Tuesday
evening. Training is split into
two hourly sessions based on
ability, with the first session
starting at 6pm and the second
following at 7pm.
The club is
registered with the Scottish
Amateur Swimming Association,
the governing body for swimming
in Scotland. |
